Hot, sticky, humid, sweaty, and exhausted are the words that come to mind when I think about this week so far. Luckily, we have the beach! Brayden and Leah have my wonderful complexion that tans easily. They have some nice tan lines to prove it! We've been going to the beach every morning with Grandma, and although Brayden is a little timid around the ocean, they enjoy it very much. Leah always collects baby sea clams in a big bucket of water. Every time it's time to go, she cries because she has to let them go (we had an unfortunate fatal accident with a bucket full of baby sea clams in the sun for half the day... not only was it sad, but it smelled like rotten clam chowder... yuck). After giving Leah 2 choices (nap or snack) she normally snaps out of it, and we're happily riding back home in the golf cart.
Leah has been snuggling with me during Brayden's nap time. We normally watch Cinderella every single day (sometimes she falls asleep)... then we pretend we're Cinderella all day long. Brayden normally sleeps for 2 hours, although, with wearing himself out at the beach in the mornings, he sometimes sleeps for 3-4 hours (which is amazing!).
After nap and lunch we go outside on the deck and "swim" in the little pool. The last 2 days they have been practicing for the Olympics by jumping from the picnic table into the pool. They are so goofy and so much fun.
They both eat like crazy. They are constantly eating fruit, seeds, salads, cheese... you name it (as long as it's healthy), they eat it! Grandpa put some cantaloupe and watermelon on sticks and froze them. The kids love their homemade ice pops. He always has the best treats.
I am so excited to have Cavan home for good this weekend (hopefully). It looks like the person he is training is going to be ok without him by then. The kids and I are so excited to have him back with us. Lots of exciting things happening, we cannot wait to see what the future holds.

Sick pup
The kids are having such a wonderful time at Grandpa and Grandma Carlson's house. They are constantly entertained and giggling. We go to the beach almost every day, take golf cart rides, and spend as much time with Grandpa and Grandma as we can. Brayden is so attached to Grandpa and has to color with him all the time.
Cavan has been working a lot in Bluffton, and he didn't think he could come home this weekend, but he surprised me last night when he called and said he was on his way. The look on the kids' faces this morning was priceless when they saw Daddy. I wish I got it on video!
Payton was really sick a few days ago. She was lethargic, didn't want to eat anything, and when she did move, she was so sore and slow. I took her into the vet, and she had a temperature of 104.3. They suspected her to have a viral or bacterial infection. She got some fluids, antibiotics, and pain medication. She started to perk up yesterday, and by today she's acting pretty normal. She still has some recovering to do, but she's almost 100%.

Back to Myrtle Beach
It's been a crazy 4 weeks since I updated last. I finally have the internet and time to get everyone up to speed on our ever changing lives.
We planned on staying in Hilton Head for at least 3 months. After our crazy lease mix ups, we found that the townhouse we were supposed to move into was completely misrepresented. After getting things sorted out with the realty company, we decided to move the kids and I back to Myrtle Beach to give them a break and give them the security of something familiar. We are living with Grandpa and Grandma Carlson, and the kids couldn't be happier.
We've been going to the beach every day, playing in the little pool outside, and the best part... Daddy gets to come back every weekend and enjoy time with us. This is a temporary move, but it's something that needed to happen. Leah makes sure every day that we're not leaving. She loves being here.
There is seriously so much to say, but it's been such a crazy few months, I am just going to post today with all the photos of the last 4 weeks and start new as often as I have an update (hopefully a few times a week again).
