Gymnastics

Leah and Brayden are at the perfect ages.  Leah is confident enough to make friends, go off on her own with just keeping an eye on Mom and Dad, yet still wants to play with us.  Brayden is constantly learning how coordination, confidence, and patience.  He still needs Mama and Dada very often (which makes me feel wonderful), but has an independent side that is so much fun for us to watch.  He is very opinionated but sweet and loving at the same time.

They have enjoyed attending gymnastics class together and constantly amaze me what they can do.  Brayden loves climbing and hanging, and Leah loves jumping and dancing.  She cannot wait to start her ballet class again soon and make new friends (which she is very good at!).  Their personalities are full of life and Cavan and I couldn't be more proud.

We rode the golf cart over to the bank yesterday and normally Cavan runs into the ATM box with Brayden, but this time Leah said she wanted to go.  Cavan said the screen showed a family riding bikes, and Leah commented on how neat the bikes were and how she really wanted one.  When it was time to go, some cash popped out of the ATM and Leah very surprised said, "WOW, Dad!!!  This machine gave us MONEY!!!!"  Cavan was giggling as he was walking out and Leah screamed to me, "Mom!  That machine gave us MONEY to buy a BIKE!!!" We busted out laughing and as we were driving away, she said, "I really like that machine, Daddy.".  It was so cute and so funny.  The innocence was adorable.

We've had a week full of craziness and fun.  Aunt Cassie and Aubrey came to visit.  Leah and Brayden loved playing with Aubrey.  They all got along so well.  It's so hard to believe sometimes how much our babies are growing up.  Enjoy the pictures!

End of summer.

It's about that time of year again!  My favorite season is only an arm length away!  We've been enjoying cool morning golf cart rides, walks on the beach right before bed, and zooming around the house on scooters.  We are all (everyone including Grandma and Grandpa) are recovering from a mean cold from a hectic week.  We're looking forward to feeling 100% and relaxing!

Leah is learning new things every day.  She is sounding out words and putting letters together.  It's amazing how fast she picks these things up.  The things that come out of her mouth never cease to amaze me.  She is hilarious and very entertaining.  She seriously needs to teach an acting class... really, she needs to be the teacher.  She can go from hot to cold, slow to lightning fast - and never think twice about it.  It's second nature to her.  Oh boy, she is an actress for sure.  She's still petite at 31lbs.

Brayden is super funny, talking like crazy, and getting a will about himself.  He loves to love, and he loves to say "no".  I seriously wish we could go an entire day without hearing that word come out of his mouth!  Mostly, we hear it when we ask him, "Are you all done?  Do you want some more?  Here's your airplane, is this what you wanted?  Want to feed Delko?  Give Mommy a kiss?"  .... the list goes on!!  Oh that silly boy!!  He occasionally goes pee pee on the potty, but doesn't have much interest.  He is still teeny tiny weighing in at 21lbs (pure muscle!!!).

I am so proud of my babies.  They are a challenge, but amazing.  They are the best.  Cavan is the best husband and father I could have ever dreamed of, and I am blessed.

Fun with friends.

We had such a fun time with our friends yesterday.  I met up with a couple friends and my midwife I had with Brayden.  It was such a blast.  I got to hang out with so many other moms that raise their kids like I do.  It is so nice finding like-minded moms out there.  Hanging out with Nicole (Brayden's midwife) was more than amazing.  Her 6 year old daughter, Bebe, got along so well with Brayden and Leah.  Leah of course was attached at the hip to her bff, Alexa.  Oh how I wish I could replicate yesterday again (soon!!).
